Ambulance is a series I’ve been fortunate to work on since 2018. An ode to our NHS, it’s a programme that remains very close to my heart. In 2024, the series returned to London for the first time in almost five years. Across 12 episodes, our team follow the extraordinary work of the London Ambulance Service and the challenges its staff face every day.
Through unfolding actuality, filmed on the shoulders of ambulance crews, the series reflects some of society’s most pressing issues - from mental health crises and homelessness to palliative care, violence, and the strain on an overstretched system.
